A Gentle Masterpiece of Heart and Hope - Exactly What I Needed

"I picked up The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy on a whim, and within minutes, I was completely drawn in. Having seen the film last year, I was delighted to find the book carried that same quiet magic—the kind that makes you pause with every page. The hand-drawn illustrations, the soft brush of handwriting, and the small, hidden details throughout create an almost meditative experience. I read the entire book while sitting on a bench at the mall, waiting for my daughter and her friend to finish their Christmas shopping. You know it's good when you don't remember turning the pages. This isn’t just a story—it’s a moment of peace captured in ink and watercolor. A truly timeless classic."

"A book full of great life lessons. The language is simple, making it easily accessible for my 3 kids (youngest is 7), yet the messages encourage meaningful reflection."

Had a moment. A few.

"This is a book that everyone should be gifted to when they turn 16 or when they graduate. Everyone needs to have a copy to have on their shelf to read every now and again. Such a beautiful book with such simple, but profound phrases. The artwork is resonating. Love. Love. Love. Both of my kids will be getting a copy at 16. . . such a tumultuous time where something like this could help keep them grounded, if only they open its cover. #IndigoEmployee"

A Book for All in a Busy World

"This beautiful story is one you will read, and reread many times. A story of love, friendship, and all it's foibles as a young boy is growing up. Words to comfort and reassure young and old, and to touch you r heart as only a great story can. The drawings are of these wonderful friends are deeply moving, and so beautiful. Charlie Mackesy had created a real masterpiece."
