"Good lawyers are not always good writers. This one is. In these sharply reported tales, Martin London takes you inside some real legal adventures. The cast ranges from Jackie Onassis all the way down the human scale to the unlamented Roy Cohn. And you get Spiro Agnew, and even (just a warning) Donald Trump. Perfect for the bedside table. But you will lose sleep. -- Dick Cavett, renowned television interviewer, author, and New York Times columnist.

Martin London is a giant at the American Bar, a brilliant advocate for a spectacular range of clients -- from those with the highest profiles to others most in need, and a legendary storyteller. This memoir is a tale for the ages, a riveting read, and a spellbinding book about the power of law in the hands of a master. In this book, London brings the law to life. -- Linda Fairstein, Esq., New York Times best-selling author, and former head of the sex crimes bureau of the New York County District Attorney's office.

"Martin London, one of the toughest, smartest, most aggressive corporate lawyers in the country ... ."                           " I would like to have Marty London as my lawyer if I were trying to get away with something." -- Walter Jacobson, former anchor of CBS's Chicago TV station, WBBM, as quoted from his book, Walter's Perspective, and his statements to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Born in Glen Cove, New York, raised in Brooklyn, graduated from NYU School, cum laude, Associate Editor Law Review, spent 45 years as an associate and partner in Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, where I was head of the Litigation Department, and the Chairman of the Firm. I served as Chair of the Federal Bar Council, was appointed by the court to be Chair of the First Department Disciplinary Committee which had jurisdiction over 40,000 lawyers. I have won numerous awards for oral advocacy, lectured at leading law schools, tried cases all over the world, and represented the likes of Jacqueline Onassis, Vice President Spiro Agnew, and have, without fee, helped protect physicians whose lives were threatened by anti-abortion extremists.
