Reviews

I had such high hopes!!

"I’m honestly a bit surprised by all the positive reviews on this book. I felt like it was a whole lot of fluff with no substance. Even some of the titles didn’t match the words that followed underneath it. Perhaps it’s because I’ve done decades of therapy and so nothing was really new, but I just didn’t find anything in here to be profound. I really wanted to like it but honestly, I closed the book and I said, ‘Well that kind of sucked”. I just didn’t have any major aha moments."

Lacks depth.

"I follow Brianna Wiest on Instagram, and her snippets of writing posted there really resonate with me. I was looking forward to diving into this book, but it had an unexpectedly shallow bottom. It turns out that her wisdom didn’t translate to a longer form book - I wonder if that’s why it was shrink wrapped? It was disappointing from page one. I skimmed through about the first half, but couldn’t even finish it. Give this one a pass."

Cara (1/5)

A brutal but beautiful mirror.

"This book completely shifted how I see myself and my habits. It’s raw, honest, and pushes you to stop blaming the world and take accountability for your growth. Every page felt like a reminder that healing isn’t about being “fixed” — it’s about becoming aware of your patterns and choosing better every day. If you’re ready to face yourself and grow, this book will hit deep."

Brianna is the author of several books, including the international bestsellers "101 Essays That Change The Way You Think" and "The Mountain Is You." In her own words, she says, "I believe that the root of being human is learning how to think. From this, we learn how to love, share, coexist, tolerate, give, and create. I believe the first and most important duty we have is to actualize the potential we were born with ? both for ourselves and for the world. The unspoken line of everything I write is: 'This idea changed my life.' I hope my books do that for you. I hope they deeply inspire you, and I hope they help you become the person you've always wanted to be."
