Reviews

Title catches attention, Paper-Bag + Princess are not words that usually go together. The artist shows the Princess wearing a paper bag, standing without fear in front of a dragon. Perfect!

"This classic story, is even more significant today than it was 20 years ago. Munsch created a female young character, who knows her strength and worth, despite her material possession (paper bag). She does not seek approval from the male character, though he shows more material possessions. The female character does not allow - and more so stand up for herself with the male, telling (not asking) him she will not tolerate his judgmental and rude comments towards her. This is a must-read - for parents of girls and boys - to discuss the many issues addressed within this story."

A must read for every child!

"I give a copy of this book to every child I know with an inscription (depending on gender) that reads ""don't be a Roland"" or ""don't get taken in by a Roland. "" Robert Munsch is a classic favourite for kids of all ages and I like to share as many of his books as I can afford."
