Artists Treasure!

"As an avid reader and artist I have a unique and intense interest in colour! The Secret Lives of Colour was a splendid immersion into a world where colour met meaning in a much different yet powerful way, through words and context. The stories entertained, captivated and educated me in a way that has enriched my colour experience and pleasantly surprised me! I highly recommend this fascinating book!"

Peggy (5/5)

Raymond (5/5)

For Colour Lovers

"This book is for all people who love colours! The scientific breakfdown and then the cultural stories combine to give a story of colours like reading a book of character profiles. The book itself is a visually beautiful little coffee table book too."

Talosh (5/5)

More than theory

"In place of more colour theory, or abstractions of relationships between hues, The Secret Lives of Colour offers a narrative approach. While some essays are essentially short historical pieces, others provide a richer context of the ways in which colour embodies a wealth of perspectives and interpretations, some familiar, some obscure yet poignant. I’ve found this to be a very good foil for readings on colour theory, a welcome relief from the colour wheel and other modernist frames of locking colour into less experiential ways of talking and learning about colour."
