"To sum it up, The Strength of the Few is better in pretty much every way than its predecessor. The Will of the Many was a good book—a really, really good book—but The Strength of the Few is a great one."

Long haul incoming

"Telling 3 different stories is one thing. Though the first quarter or so is a blur and seems like info dumping. Good at times but a balancing act. The later half falls into place. What Wheel of Time took 3 books to do. Is done in moments. As a positive and a negative. You want more. I almost think this would have been better split up as two books. Then recoup and go into the final book or two. Updated physical and digital maps for all worlds along with important characters and objects/ideas would be extremely helpful."

More Worlds & More Magic

"James Islington is fantastic, and leaves me wanting the next book in the series! The Will of the Many was a strong intro to a fantasy world that was the perfect mix of academia and magic. This book built upon that to develop more worlds and even more magic. I can't recommend this series enough."

A Superb Follow-Up

"An excellent sequel to The Will of the Many, this book manages to fulfill on the promise of book one while successfully seeing up book three. The only drawback may be that as it tries to expand the world the set up can take a while, especially for a second book. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed this book!"

A satisying whiplash

"A fresh deviance from the first book in the series, focusing more on who the characters are in the face of adversity. Wonderful read full of intertwining adventure, youll find yourself immersed in three different words. Unexpected turns and twists leave you with a most satisying whiplash. Not usually a fan of middle books or series ""fillers"" vut this second installment doesnt just bridge, it propels. Worth the buy, worth the time reading."

Happy shopper

"Great Black Friday deals and helpful staff at the Coquitlam location. Several new releases were deeply discounted. There were lots of shoppers and the knowledgeable staff were able to approach and help everyone (that I saw). It's the staff, including the holiday help, that make this store just a bit extra. Left with a pile of gifts."

THE HUNGER GAMES meets BLOOD OVER BRIGHT HAVEN meets BABEL.

"Y'ALL THIS BOOK was exceptional. A true masterclass on flawlessly integrating worldbuilding and exposition. The world is incredibly complex and yet not a single explanation read like an info dump. I learned so much so quickly without even realizing what Islington was doing. And then there's the story. The number of utterly jaw-dropping, shocking twists and turns still has me reeling. The ENDING???! I am so glad I waited so long to read this, because I need the second book IMMEDIATELY. I didn't think it could get more complex but Islington threw the most insane curveball in the last TWO CHAPTERS.   Absolutely obsessed.   Honestly, this was so good I'm adding a new rating to my system that surpasses 5/5. . . Rating: EXCEPTIONAL ✨✨✨✨✨"

Did not disappoint

"After reading The Will of the Many, I wasn't sure how I would feel about the second book, but The Strength of the Few did not disappoint! Starts out a bit slower but quickly picks up the pace as it follows 3 story-lines which are all very interesting."

Francois (5/5)

A nice continuation of the series

"Not as good as the first, but still pretty good. A nice continuation in the series. Not enough focus is given to the characters’ development and personalities."

Just as good as the first

"I was so excited for this sequel, it was the first time I purchased a book day of release in over twenty years. And it did not disappoint. Much like the first book it is a rollercoaster and the ending has me itching for the final book in the trilogy."

Josh (5/5)

Great fantasy novel

"Beautiful cover, and a great sequel. One of the best fantasy novels I’ve read in a long time"
