I'm glad I bought it, but. . .

"I wanted a keepsake to relive the amazing 2025 season. Kudos to the authors for turning this around quickly. This book summarizes every game and has some decent photos. Where it falls down, for an avid fan, is that the summaries read like they were generated from box-scores not actual observances of the games. Interesting details are missed in the brief scoring run downs. Like players setting records (e. g. Paxton Schultz, Apr 20) or the excitement of the debuts of Bieber or Yesavage. Thrilling games read like routine ones. Best example is Aug 10 v LAD, a game that could have an entire book written on it. I'm glad I have it, it looks nice, and using my phone to pull up clips/game summaries, it helped me to relive some of the great moments. But I will look for a more insightful, detailed, text-heavy presentation of the season from a true baseball writer and I expect that will come in time."
