A story of journeys for some unlucky souls
"I’ve really come to enjoy Erin’s unique storytelling, and this may be her most original concept yet. The story follows five individuals who meet untimely ends. With no one to claim their remains, they are forgotten in the basement of a funeral home. As the story unfolds, we learn how each of them died, their individual backstories, and watch them come to terms with the reality of their deaths. Each character has a distinct personality, making every perspective engaging. Some are easy to root for, while others challenge your patience, and I appreciated that they weren’t all equally likable. It made their journeys feel more authentic. Watching each character work through ways to get the living to help them and ultimately sever the tether keeping them bound to the funeral home was both emotional and thought-provoking. If you’re looking for something different that blends speculative fiction with heartfelt character journeys, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a try. 3. 75 ⭐️"
