Reviews

Rarely leave reviews, but this book was so bad

"I know main characters aren't necessarily supposed to be likeable, but I despised Agatha after the first few pages. The book isn't well edited, and there's a giant plot hole in the reveal near the end. If you like books where you're distracted from actually enjoying reading by a lack of logic, odd names for every character save one, and off-putting characters, then this is the book for you. I'm a huge advocate for CanCon, and I had such high hopes when I bought it because I grew up near the train route where the action takes place and love reading fiction set in places I've spent time in, but I was so disappointed in the quality of the writing and the story itself."

Challenging logic

"I support Canadian writers and there are so many great ones that I read each year, but I'm reluctantly leaving this review just to flag that the logic gaps here were too big to believe, in case that is of interest to prospective readers."
