I loved this book! If you only read one book this year, read this one.

"This book was so well written. I was hooked from I think page 3. What a story! What incredible strength. It was hard to read at times knowing it was a true story, but she told it so well. The fact that she faced the Devil and came out on top was so inspiring."

Deanna (5/5)

One of my top 3 favourite books

"When all hopes faded away and what psycholgists call detachment takes over - i admire the vivid and beautiful write up by the author. An imaginary place of safety is, by definition, hard to describe. For someone who had gone through this long tortuous captivity, Somalia will be avoided like a plague. And yet she did and started a foundation to correct the wrong in that country! Makes me proud as a fellow Canadian."

Brian (5/5)

Amazing!

"Engaging and wonderful book. Best one I’ve read in 2023."

Luigi (5/5)

"This book definitely had me on edge a few times. Found myself power reading through as I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. What an incredible story."
