Ashis Gupta is the co-founder and publisher of Bayeux Arts, established in 1994. He is the author of several novels, editor of collections of poems and co-author with his wife, Swapna, of a recent collection of short stories, "The Irrelevance of Space and Other Stories."

"Animal Farm, 2017" is Ashis's third foray into the realm of political satire. Two earlier ones were "The Acts of the Compassionates," and a libretto, "The Gospel according to Clarence Thomas."

After living for a decade in Boston, Mass., Ashis and his wife moved to Calgary, Canada. The heart-break of leaving Boston gave way to an abiding love for the exquisite Canadian Rockies.
