Sindhi is one of the most ancient, classical languages of the world. Its roots can be traced back to the Indus Valley civilization. It has a rich literary tradition. Sindhi poetry continues to flourish in India and in Sindh, Pakistan after the partition of the country in 1947.
English translation of this edited volume contains select poetic works of more than 50 poets of India in the post-independence era.
