Sherryl Woods was born in Arlington, Virginia, and graduated from Ohio State University with a degree in journalism. She worked for several newspapers covering everything from suburban government to entertainment, eventually specializing in television. She became the television editor for papers in Ohio and Florida. In 1980 she quit her work in news to write books, but again found herself in the workforce. Two years later, her first romance was in print and publishers were clamoring for more. Woods's first novel was released in 1982. By 1986, she was writing full-time. Woods has written over 70 books, mostly romance, but she also has two mystery series. Woods is a member of Novelists, Inc., Sisters in Crime, and Mystery Writers of America, Sherryl also served as president of the guild for Miami City Ballet for three terms.
"Simply wonderful. Reading The Program somehow reminded me of reading Shakespeare. Each page is so laden with verities that a slow read is mandated. So, read slow and thrive." -- Walter M. Bortz II, M.D., bestselling author of Dare to Be 100 and We Live Too Short and Die Too Long
