Tielin Wang, associated professor of National Resource Center for Chinese Materia Medica, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, committed to the investigation and research of medicinal plant diseases, had led more than 30 experts in the fields of plant protection and traditional Chinese medicine to jointly carry out the "First National Medical Plant Disease Census", and conducted a thorough investigation of the disease occurrence in various main production areas of medicinal plants in China for the first time.

Luqi Huang,academician of the China Academy of Engineering, expert in traditional Chinese medicine resources and identification, president and principal investigator of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, serves as the head of the National Expert Guidance Group for the National Survey of Chinese Materia Medica Resources. He led the compilation of the Technical Specifications for the National Survey of Chinese Materia Medica Resources and guided resource surveys in 2115 counties across 31 provinces in China. His team achieved dynamic remote sensing monitoring of rare wild Chinese medicine resources and developed five models of resource protection. The new method for identifying traditional Chinese medicine he established won the Chinese Patent Excellence Award and achieved significant social and economic benefits. It has been included in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, marking the first inclusion of a molecular identification method in the national Pharmacopoeia.

Lanping Guo, The principal investigatorï¼Director of the Institute of Chinese Materia Medica; Director of the State Key Laboratory for Quality Ensurance and Sustainable Use of Dao-di Herbs; and Director of the Key Laboratory of Biology and Cultivation of Chinese Medicinal Plants, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.Her research focuses on the authenticity and quality assurance of Chinese medicinal materials, with a primary emphasis on ecological cultivation of medicinal plants. She was among the first both domestically and internationally to propose the concept and theory of ecological agriculture for Chinese medicinal materials, and initiated the Declaration on Ecological Agriculture for Chinese Medicinal Materials, leading her team to implement it nationwide.She has won three National Science and Technology Progress Second PrizeS and twelve First Prizes at the provincial or ministerial level. She has also led the establishment of three ISO international standards concerning pesticide residues, heavy metals, and sulfur dioxide in Chinese medicinal materials.
