I'd purchased this book a month ago but I've been too busy to look at it. The sad thing is that if there's a person who would definitely benefit from this book it would be me. At 67 1/2 and about 210 lbs. suffering from arthritis in both knees, I'm a sight to behold and but my dear OH still loves me.


Yoga for the longest period of time has been known to do a myriad of great things to an individual's body. It's great to assist one with their trying to unwind. It's great in helping to increase a person's elasticity as well as increasing their vigor. And for people like me, even the basic yoga positions can assist in losing one's weight.


While the positions described in this book are considering to be basic, as the author states, I found some of them to be a wee bit demanding. There's a lot of guidance in this book to assist readers to doing them, as well as avoidance notifications for each one should a reader have an injury to a specific body part. Included with each position there's a simplified illustration to assist readers in getting the position correct.


Yoga is intended to be non-stressful, so if you're getting out of breath, you're doing something wrong. Once you've begun to master the book's individual positions, you can proceed in combining them into one of the eleven sequences outlined it the book.


For wanting to assist individuals like me to reduce their weight, without the outlay of any additional cost, except perhaps for their time, I'm happy to give the author and this book 5 STARS.
