Excellent book about gender

"My kids love this book. They keep going back to it to discuss what gender they are and understand that it is a construct (which is amazing considering they are 3 and 5 years old). It makes my heart warm that these books exist for kids."

D. L. (5/5)

Good Conversation Starter About Gender!

"This is a good conversation starter about gender. Like anything else - take what resonates with you and leave the rest."

Jaden (5/5)

Two Thumbs Up

"Perfect addition to the library and a great way to get kids to learn to be accepting towards others and themselves."

Kayla (5/5)

Good book!

"There are a lot of debates going around this topic but i think this book is just good to just let it be about you and being yourself."

Valerie (4/5)

"Really great first talk about gender gets more for older kids as the book goes on"

Gender Firsts!

"Really great introduction to the notion of gender, simple and inclusive."

Nicole P. (5/5)

Overall good book

"I was excited to get that book for my child but I thought it was a bit too early for him, as he's under 3, it was different than what I thought. I fully support all communities but I found it's too early for my child to learn about it."

Happy C. (4/5)

Informative book for younger kids

"Great book for first conversations regarding gender and all the different people in our world. Help kids feel safe, seen, and be prepared to accept all people for who they are"

Erin (5/5)

KIRKUS BEST BOOK (2021)

"A sunny, straightforward book guiding children through what gender is, how it can fluctuate, and how it’s used throughout social structures. This book is an excellent way to generate conversation!" — School Library Journal
