A wonderful vacation read

"I was searching for a vacation read and came across this book by chance. I enjoyed the writing style, a dual perspective of the main characters and the various settings in which the book takes place. We get a view of a world of gladiator fighters, prisoners and torment, and also a fantasy world of aristocrats and magic. I feel the book could have been much longer with more development/explaination of secondary characters, connections and background stories and would have enjoyed that on a greater level, had the author developed more than the two main characters, however as a vacation read this book was an easy read and exactly what i was looking for. I read it cover to cover in a couple of days, interested in what might happen next in the whirlwind of activity. I will be looking for book two in the series when it is released in June 2025."
