Reviews

Meh.

"Meh. It’s a feel good book with little of what brought me to the author."

Felt Y. (3/5)

Another page turner from John Grisham!

"I have read all of Grisham's books and have never been disapointed. Same for this recent one. He never wastes time with complicated plots or tons of useless details. The writing is clear and fluid. It is a compelling story about a people who were removed from their island to make place for condos. Sounds so familiar these days. It is a page turner, and you will never guess how this ends."

John Grisham Always Delivers

"John Grisham offers up yet another enjoyable tale. I did take the time to re-read Camino Island first but Camino Ghosts is completely readable as a stand-alone book if you don't have access to the first book. Entertaining reading!"

Sunsation (5/5)

A slower Grisham

"It reads a bit more slowly than other legal stories he has written."

B. P. (3/5)

John Grisham wins again

"My father loved this as a Christmas gift. John Grisham never fails"

Anonymous R. (5/5)

A spellbinding tale of What If in the American South.

"Camino Ghosts is part of the Camino trilogy (unless there are more coming!) I like that the setting and characters are familiar from the previous books, and I found the plot line riveting,as he traces the history of a group of African Americans who arrived on a slave ship but ended up on their own island due to the sinking of the ship. I loved how he blended the two time periods; it made it seem real. And of course, John Grisham's warm and welcoming writing style shines through it all. I loved this book. ."

Catherine (5/5)

A fine read!

"I have tired of Grisham’s books a little over the years. But this one hit the mark. The characters were well presented and interesting. The story line was interesting and quite believable. It was an easy read. Quite enjoyable"

JannyT (5/5)

One more in the Camino series

"I really enjoyed all three books in the Camino series. I cannot really pinpoint a particular reason why, but they were all enjoyable to read, easy to follow, with exciting stories and interesting characters. They are probably my favourite books of Grisham. The last one did not disappoint, but took the story further. I would definitely read them again."

Joan G. (5/5)

Wonderful addition to Grisham's Camino books

"Loved this story that shared some of the history and aftermath of slavery trade, intertwined with book industry snapshots and more, and as always interesting characters, truly couldn't put the book down, thoroughly enjoyed, will re-read with other Camino Island books soon"

Jenn (5/5)

Good read!

"Loved this book. Another great story from a consistently good writer!"

Grisham makes sure the book moves like the winds that buffet his fictional island.”—Minneapolis Star Tribune
