Conceived and designed for use at the congregational level, Confronting Whiteness presents a new posture for people of faith and the church in understanding and confronting the realities of racism today. Each chapter encourages and deepens spiritual formation for anti-racism and anti-racist work. Readers will encounter personal postures and gestures, such as the practices of contemplation and confession, and how these can be re-formed to address and eradicate racist tropes and habits, to expose and undermine the power of Whiteness.
