Money, Masks, Magic, and the Mists of Time Collide
Counterfeit is the sequel to Betrayal: Crimes Against the Crown. The adventure continues. Someone is set to destabilise the British currency and effectively crash the economy. Friends and family are now on the trail of the would-be Counterfeiters.
A death in the family takes them to the Welsh coast, where Colin discovers his destiny to lead an ancient order bound to protect the people of Britain. So enters the legend of the Knights Templar, their long-lost treasure and a dragon said to guard it.
Meanwhile, in Wales, the Agents of the Crown find clues to counterfeiting in a derelict castle. Lissa, Miles, and the company must track down and stop this enterprise, but Miles and a few of their friends are kidnapped to prevent them from interfering.
Not to be deterred, Lissa and her family are determined to rescue them. Their journey to recover those kidnapped and uncover the counterfeiters converges and leads them on a chase across the English Channel to the Hague and back to England. While the counterfeiting plot is halted, the leaders escape, which is an unacceptable conclusion. It is decided they must lure the leaders into a trap, luring them with the promise of part of the Templar treasure in Egypt.
But whose trap is it?
