Amazon Customer: 'Once again Lesley draws you into the life, love and work of Ted. You battle through the highs and lows of life as a DCI, you visit old friends and share the good, the bad and the downright sad. The plot twists and turns and once again doesn't disappoint, I was sad, I was happy, I gasped aloud, my eyes filled with tears on occasion and then I sadly reached the end, one final gasp! I have to be honest I didn't see it coming... Once again a truly stunning read, for anyone who enjoys good crime writing, this is a must read.'
Amazon customer: 'I have done a bit of detective work of my own. I beleive I have discovered the secret of Lesley Krier's writing. There is no pause option. From the opening sentence right to the final paragraph there is no way to stop reading. To be honest I feel a bit guilty. As any cook will tell you, you spend hours and hours dreaming up a meal, sourcing the ingredients, sweating over a hot stove before finally presenting your creation to your guests who then scoff the whole thing in minutes, albeit appreciatively. Were Lesley the chef and I a Michelin inspector she would have three stars above Chez Darling. As she isn't, and I am not, she will have to be content with five Amazon stars.'
Amazon Customer: 'Well, all I can say is Wow!This is the best one yet, and had me enthralled right from the start.Found myself racing through it as I was so engrossed.Think I will read it again a bit more slowly just in case I missed something...but am sure I didnt!Ted and the team stepped up to the mark as usual, although our hero was not quite as faultless as usual, but it all ended well once he had a word with himself!Roll on the next in this fab series.!'
