Lynne Benton loves bringing history to life for children. This is the second of her "Britannia Mysteries" series, set in Roman Britain, and follows on a year after Book 1, "The Centurion's Son". She has also worked as a teacher, and as pianist for a dancing school, but now prefers writing. She has four children and five grandchildren, and lives in Bath with her husband.
