A country boy is also a bad boy, in this tale of “a prodigal son” who leaves home, goes to the wicked city, is disillusioned by what he finds there—but has no desire to return to the boondocks. Sometimes, the devil you’ve discovered is preferable to the one you left behind! Stuck in a small rural town, Jake longs to escape to the bright lights of the big city, and he will do anything to achieve his goal—including taking risks which get him into trouble with the local law. When he does make his way to the city, Jake finds that the experience is bittersweet. He’s a new face and body in town, to be sure. But the cynical, jaded urban dwellers have seen such good-looking yokels arrive in town before. To them, Jake is just another boy toy, to be used and then discarded. Has Jake made a Faustian bargain, or can he still redeem himself? Maybe the love, and lust, of a good man can tip the balance. But when that man turns out to be not so good, after all, is Jake willing to compromise?
