Children's book author Herman Parish is the nephew of Peggy Parish, the creator of the beloved Amelia Bedelia series. After his aunt died in 1988, he decided to continue Amelia's adventures himself and has since published more than a dozen stories featuring the comical housekeeper. Parish is a popular speaker in libraries and schools throughout the United States.

Lynne Avril received a BA in Art from the University of Montana in Missoula. After years of freelancing as a graphic artist, she started illustrating children's books. She has illustrated over 80 books including Every Cowgirl Needs Dancing Boots by Rebecca Janni, If I Ran for President by Catherine Stier, The Princesses Have a Ball by Teresa Bateman, and all the stories about the young Amelia Bedelia by Herman Parish.
