Ilu Ros (Mula, Murcia) is an illustrator who has been based in Madrid since 2019. After graduating with degrees in Fine Arts and Audiovisual Communication from the University of Granada, she moved to London, where she lived for eight years. It was there that she discovered illustration and its professional possibilities. Storytelling was her greatest passion until one day she woke up and thought that perhaps she could tell her own stories, too. She is the author and illustrator of books such as Cosas nuestras (Lumen, 2020) and Federico (Lumen, 2021), the latter of which has been translated into Italian and French. Her illustrations for Una trilogí a rural: Bodas de Sangre, Yerma, y La Casa de Bernarda Alba (Lumen, 2022) earned her the 2022 Best Edited Book Award from the Ministry of Culture. Her illustrations have been published by Penguin Random House, Pá ginas de espuma, Fuera de Ruta, Vogue, El Paí s, Pú blico, and El Salto.
