"'Grandma and the Pirates"" is a book my daughter loved. Now my son has a daughter and she loves this book. Now, it is easy to find a book where a little girl is a heroine. When this book was published in the '80's it wasn't. Thank you, Phoebe Gilman for being one of first authors to know that girls can have brave adventures."
