Love the Title. Speaks to all dog owners wondering what’s going on in that mind. What are they really thinking

"I bought the book for a friend who just lost her dog. Having gone thru a dog with epilepsy and other issues I believe it truly helps you deal with the grief and to try to understand your pets processes etc. I highly recommend this book."

Learn more about your dog with this book

"I listened to this as an audiobook, but part way through I knew I wanted a physical copy to highlight my favourite quotes, educational information and so much more!"

Best book ever!

"I am a huge dog geek and thoroughly enjoyed this scientific realization of how your dog thinks through his senses versus your own. I do have some scientific knowledge so some of the explanations could he overwhelming for others that do not basic knowledge. However, I also felt the author used many examples and tried their best to bridge some of these gaps that may occur."

Let down

"I love dogs, so I thought this book would be great. Unfortunately, it was too much clinical and scientific information (I have a degree in chemical engineering, so it's not a lack of capacity on my part), and left me bored. Rarely do I want to put down a book part way through and give up on it, but I wanted to do that with this book."

An Informative Read About Dog

"As a dog lover I was grabbed by the book's title- after all why wouldn't I want to know more about one of my favorite animals? And this book is indeed informative and I learned a lot about dogs that I didn't know beforehand. I was particularly interested in the bits regarding the evolution of dogs and the theories regarding how they were domesticated. However it took be two tries to finish this book. After the first half the book gets a bit repetitive and I found it hard to keep my attention. Unless you are a dog lover interested in learning more about your best friend or really interested in animal psychology I'd give this one a pass."

Interesting, informative, well written

"I am a dog trainer, so I'm bias, but I found this book to be incredibly interesting. The physiological aspects that you get to uncover about dogs was incredibly helpful and brought more insight into my training. I do with there had been a better behavioural component, as what is covered is simplified. But I would still recommend the book. Just don't rely on it for everything."
