John Stefanidis is a world-renowned interior designer with an international clientele. Born in pre-war Alexandria, Stefanidis moved to the UK to attend Oxford. In 1967 he established his practice from a studio in Chelsea, London, and since then has specialized in the architectural and interior design of residential properties and hotels across the globe. Stefanidis has also created original fabric and furniture ranges influenced by his many travels. Susanna Moore is the author of several novels, including most recently The Lost Wife (Knopf, 2023), and her memoir, Miss Aluminum (FSG, 2020), which was praised by the New York Times, the New Yorker, the Financial Times, Vogue, and many more. Moore is a Visiting Fellow at Princeton University.
"British designer John Stefanidis has garnered attention from design enthusiasts around the world since the moment he established his eponymous firm in 1967. This highly-anticipated monograph looks at 50 years of Stefanidis's work, showcasing his penchant for color and impeccable craftsmanship." —VERANDA

"World-renowned designer John Stefanidis’ monograph brings together 50 years of work and demonstrates how the interiors guru has drawn on a global range of influences for his designs as well as his furniture and fabric collections." —MOFFLY MEDIA

"The publication follows Stefanidis’s career from its London origins in the 1960s to more recent projects. It combs through imagery taken for magazine features and previously unpublished photography from the designer’s personal archive. The spreads—which spotlight Stefanidis signature elements like bronze door pulls or oak shutters—are accompanied by his musings on the design process and steadfast decorating rules." — CULTURED

"Bold color, a relaxed sense of grandeur, and bespoke details aplenty are hallmarks of the Egyptian-born, London-based designer John Stefanidis, who established his eponymous studio in the late 1960s. Drawing from his vast archives, this book explores Stefanidis’s penchant for sky blue fabric-shrouded walls, carved marble basins, and neoclassical hallway friezes in projects from New York to Istanbul to Athens, interspersed with old photographs and personal recollections." —ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST
