In this story about Josh and his magic snow dome, the action takes place not as you might think in Christmasland as it normally does when Christmasland is in danger - which is a lot of the time - but at Bide-a-Wee; those of you who have read the other stories will know that Bid-a-Wee is the retirement home for elves and pixies at Torquay, Devon in England. In these days where any form of discrimination is frowned up Bide-a-Wee now takes residents from the Gnome and Goblin communities as well. One day the office manager at Bide-a-Wee receives an unusual request for residentship - it is from none other than Santa Claus himself! Santa Clus wanting to retire, surely not?
