Bukowski Rocks

"good poetry is typical from Charles Bukowski; I think it's important to be able to read books on raunchy/sensitive topics and this is certainly a masterclass on doing so"

Daria (4/5)

Rough around the edges but beautifully imperfect

"This was my first book by Charles Bukowski and my introduction into some older poetry and I found it to be a good read. A little rough around the edges but there is something beautiful about a book that isn’t perfect."

Mm11 (5/5)

bukowski

"Did not enjoy this at all, if anything it proved that bukowski is nothing but a dirty old man. The majority of the poems (if you can even call them that) were offensive."

Jasl (1/5)

I love this man

"I could read Bukowski's work all day and never be disappointed"

Devon (5/5)

Personal

"Bukowski definitely shows his personal side with this collection, more so than any of his other works. Not my favorite but still good."

JoLeah (3/5)

Personal Favourite

"This is one of my favourite collections of poetry from Bukowski. They are very strong and personal, showing a vulnerability that I've found lacking in some of his other collections. Just beautiful."

Rebecca (5/5)

Fantastic

"This book is so raw and powerful and is among Bukowski's finest. Would highly recommend."

Dylan (5/5)

A personal favourite

"These poems, from the time I have first received this book until now, have accompanied me throughout. They feel truly personal and are crafted with care, passion and dedication. Again, a personal favourite"

Benoit (5/5)

Awesome!

"really enjoyed this"

SaLe (5/5)

Just read it

"It is Bukowski, therefore it is amazing, therefore you should read it. QED"

Charles Bukowski is one of America's best-known contemporary writers of poetry and prose, and, many would claim, its most influential and imitated poet. He was born in Andernach, Germany, and raised in Los Angeles, where he lived for fifty years. He published his first story in 1944, when he was twenty-four, and began writing poetry at the age of thirty-five. He died in San Pedro, California, on March 9, 1994, at the age of seventy-three, shortly after completing his last novel, Pulp (1994).
