"Masters of the Air is a piece of history that accurately and comprehensively tells the story of the Eighth Air Force going mano a mano against a tough and determined foe. The incredible cost to both sides is recounted in riveting detail. It left me shaken."

-- Lt. Gen. Bernard E. Trainor, USMC (Ret.) and coauthor of Cobra II: The Inside Story of the Invasion and Occupation of Iraq

Mastering the Air - the Hard Way

"A hard to put down detailed account of the American bomber war in Europe. Donald Miller resisted the temptation to do a propaganda piece. Instead, he heaps both praise and criticism in a very balanced fashion. He points out the hubris on certain of the commanders who failed to learn from the British the need to drop much larger bombs and the urgent need for long range fighters to protect the B 17’s and B 24’s. He rightly praises the courage of the young airmen, many of whom gave their lives to help defeat Germany. Very thorough and well researched. A must for WW II history buffs."

Jack C. (5/5)

Good Read

"I bought and read the ebook as soon as the show was announced sometime after the Pacific. Great read and glad I could add the physical to my collection. 4 stars cause it came with a printing defect, don’t mind one bit though!"
