Curte and heartwarming! My kids absolutely lovd it

"Such a sweet and heartwarming book. I love how the story captures friendship, change, and the joy that animals can bring into our lives in such a simple but meaningful way. You can tell this story was written with a lot of love behind it, and knowing it was inspired by real life makes it even more special. My kids absolutely loved it, it’s been such a great addition to their little bookshelf!"

Norman and Potato Will Steal Your Heart!

"This is an absolutely wonderful story about a grumpy dog named Norman and his new dog “sister,” Potato. This adorable true story is told in delightful rhyme and paired with charming illustrations that will warm your heart. At its core, this is a story about love — the love Norman and Potato’s humans have for them, and the beautiful bond and friendship that grows between the two dogs. This is a lovely book to read aloud to children ages 2 and up, and one that both kids and adults will enjoy together. I’m already looking forward to more stories from this talented new Canadian author, Olivia Lavender!"

Loved it, must read!

"What a lovely read this is—rhythmic, warm, and full of heart. The rhyming pattern flows so naturally that it makes the story especially engaging. It captures the personality and spirit of animals in a way that feels both fun and meaningful for young readers. The ending is a real highlight—my son absolutely loved seeing the real photo of the dogs, which added such a sweet, personal touch to the story. It helps bridge the gap between fiction and real life in a really special way for kids. Overall, it’s a charming, heartwarming book that works perfectly for young children. I’m really looking forward to sharing it with my kindergarten class as a fun way to practice rhyming and build early literacy skills."

A Must-Buy!!

"This amazing book has quickly become a must-read at bedtime. The story is simple, calming, and perfectly paced to help wind things down, with warm illustrations that keep little ones engaged. It’s now one of those “can’t skip it” books—requested every night. Cozy, comforting, and just right for ending the day"
