Must read for sports fans

"This book isn't just for Raptors fans or fans of the NBA. Alex navigates the unique journey of the franchise and impact not only on sports culture but pop culture in North America. There are so many stories that haven't been told before that even the most die-hard Raptors fan may not have known. Some of the stories were pretty wild to learn about what was happening behind-the-scenes leading up to the teams home opener. A great read from front to back. Can't recommend this book enough for basketball fans but also fans who love 90's pop culture."

Sports Book Of The Year. Late Submission. Easily.

"Just past halfway through and this book needs to be nominated for some sort of Canadian book award. A rare book that can help you time travel through your sports fandom and enlighten you to insanely interesting BTS stories you had zero idea even happened. Bravo, Alex. This should help wipe the misery of being a NYJ and T******* fan for… maybe a month or so. Kudos."

Couldn’t wait for this to release!!!

"The humour, wit and energy that Alex Wong displays on his amazing podcast transfers right into the book. It’s a complete delight to read and is incredibly entertaining both for people familiar with the topic and those that are new to it. The cover art is also gorgeous. This is a must-read for fans of sports or pop culture generally. Highly recommended."

Must own for any Raptors fan

"Once I learned about the book I knew it was a must own. I have never been more correct. The author writes with a love that is shared amongst the fan base. He also takes them time to get perspectives from people throughout the organization, allowing fans to gain insight from a multitude of perspectives."

An essential read for Raptors fans

"This book tells the origin story of the Toronto Raptors in a way that is colourful, funny, and extremely interesting from a business and human perspective. From stories about Damon Stoudamire's upbringing to Samuel L. Jackson's fandom, this is essential reading for any fans of the Raptors or Canadian sports who want to learn how a franchise is built. Plus, it's one of the most well-written sports books I have ever read as author Alex Wong manages to keep his writing tight and playful throughout."

Elite Raptors content

"The depth of reporting and storytelling in this book is incredible. There is more detail in this book than any other published work on the Toronto Raptors. This is the coverage that Day 1 fans deserved, and it's required reading for the newcomers to the franchise. It leaves you with a deeper appreciation of what it took to bring the NBA to Toronto."

Louwilliams (5/5)

An absolute must-have for any Toronto Raptors fan

"As someone who has followed the Toronto Raptors for most of my life, even I found myself learning so many new fascinating tidbits and anecdotes about the franchise in this absolutely incredible piece of work from the great Alex Wong. The level of detail in this book is astonishing, providing further context to the origin of the franchise, the players who've worn the uniform, and those who made this all possible from the get go. Do yourself a favor and purchase this book. You'll be happy you did."

“It might sound strange now—having witnessed a Raptors championship and seen Jurassic Park become the NBA’s greatest mosh pit for diehards—but Toronto wasn’t always an NBA hotbed. In fact, it was once considered a distant outpost, a curiosity, a gamble, foreign in every sense of the word. As Prehistoric so vividly reminds us, it took a little faith, a little luck, and lot of persistence and passion to bring the Raptors to life. Alex takes you into the board room and the locker room to get the story of the Raptors’ rise—from the players, coaches, and executives who lived it.”
