Good parenting book to promote secure attachment

"Good ideas of how to meet kid's needs and promote secure attachment. It's presented in a nonjudgemental and empathetic way"

Britt (5/5)

So Insightful

"This book is so insightful. It provides a really conceptually easy framework for thinking of parenting. The part that was the best however (and most painful) was reading about how my own childhood experiences has influenced my current parenting. I found it emotionally difficult to read this book. The text provides comfort but I would highly recommend a therapist, social worker or someone else to bounce some specifics off of. I ended up needing to re-read numerous sections because I felt that when they referenced something further along (and referenced 'we discussed this in chapter 3') I found uneasy about that concept, went back, re-read it and got so much more out of it. I found that it was hard to absorb a lot when I was emotionally charged reading a lot of it because of the feelings it was bringing up. Highly, highly, highly recommend in understanding how to guide a child, how to recognize their needs to usher them towards appropriate behaviour, security and an amazing connection between you and the child!"

Life changing

"What can I say - I feel every parent who didn't have the best up bringing and is struggling to be the parent they want to be should read this. It changed my life."
