Belonging starts with you

"I always enjoy Brené Brown's writing, but for this book in particular I found the combination of the research she covered and the stories she used to illustrate it a perfect blend. It's like having a friend in your pocket. I find she's able to articulate these concepts in a clear, approachable way and is so easy to learn from. The topics covered here can help in every arena we go through in life. We aren't always taught how to handle our emotions growing up and talking about them along with my feelings, and fears is something I'm learning to do every day. This book helped in every way."

Insightful and Inspiring.

"After reading Daring Greatly, Rising Strong was the natural next read. Together they inspired me to try new things, to be bold, and to get into the arena already. Now I’m going back and reading the earliest books by Brene Brown because they are referenced in Rising Strong. Excellent read. She makes you feel less alone with your thoughts."

Parenting is hard, life is hard. Read this book

"Extremely insightful & helpful"

Not my favourite

"This was okay. I thought the messaging felt heavy-handed at times and didn't land in the way the author clearly intended. Didn't help as much as Brown's other works have."

Kristenjanes (3/5)

Another way to think about resilience

"Classic Brené Brown - engaging, holds no punches, yet unapologetically human and compassionate. I drew strength and comfort from her data and stories - I expect others will as well."

Beware of the stories you make up

"This book made me realize all the narratives I assumed instead of making questions - and it also gave me tools on how to make me a better communicator. Highly recommended."

Henrique (5/5)

Empowering

"This was the first book in this genre that I had read. Brené Brown takes as the subject of this book how we rise from stumbling and falling in our lives to emerge as a stronger person ."
