These poems began as a literary project adopted during the lockdown that followed the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020: to write a senryu a day. After 83 days of lockdown, 111 were complete. Made all the more poignant by the untimely death of the poet's wife during this time, these poems are haunting in their significance and insight.
