Saint Sharbel’s superior, Father Antonios Mishmishany wrote in the death register of the Saint Maron monastery in Annaya, Lebanon: On the 24th day of the month of December 1898, Father Sharbel, the hermit of Bekaa Kafra, passed away with God’s mercy due to hemiplegia. He received the last rites and was buried in the cemetery of the monastery. He was 70 years old... What he will do after his death will speak volumes of his good conduct, and especially the way he kept his vows. One might even say that “His obedience was angelic, not human.”
This booklet summarizes Saint Sharbel's life on earth and his life after death.
