Anne Jacobson can remember feeling anxious when her family relocated during her childhood. Then, as an adult teaching grade school, she helped nervous new students adjust to her classroom. Years later, Anne discovered how a transfer felt as a parent with her own children. Her daughter provided the inspiration for Sarah Honey''s Moving Day during a transfer with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police from Rocky Mountain House to Red Deer, Alberta. At the time, Anne could not find books that covered the vulnerability faced by children whose families move. She hopes her story will reach the hearts of children who struggle with leaving the security of home.

Anne is a former freelance journalist for newspapers and magazines in Alberta. She was an elementary school teacher, and then a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police before her writing career. Anne now lives in Regina, Saskatchewan. She loves spending time with her pets and family, especially her three grandchildren, Dylan, Vincent and Sierra. Anne enjoys the prairies, where city limits are easily escaped, and one can see forever in all directions....
