Fun Christmas Book

"Interesting story, relatable characters, but protagonist is a little grumpy."

Vinnie (4/5)

Christmastime Crime

"There are a lot of characters in this books so it’s a tad confusing at times but I was hooked! I didn’t want to put it down and I was dying to find out who the murderer was. I did find it was unnecessarily verbose; it felt a bit like reading a freshman’s essay trying to hit the word count. It is also a little less Christmas-y than I was hoping for but all in all a good read."

The Christmas Jigsaw Murders Book Review

"This book is a wonderful read. It is a fast paced murder mystery novel that takes place during the holiday season making it a great option for the month of December. It is refreashing to read from the perspective of an elderly character. She is a very out of her depth character which is something we don't see quite often. She certainly has lived quite a life from what we experience as readers. Overall it is a great book and I would definantly reccomend."

Christmas Mystery hit!

"Great seasonal read. Love doing christmasy themed stories during the holiday season. It was great without being too over the top christmas - you know what i mean?"

Rebecca D. (4/5)

A Festive Whodunit!

"The Christmas Jigsaw Murders is a fun and intriguing mystery perfect for the holiday season. The story starts with a retired detective who just wants a peaceful Christmas with family, but things take a strange turn when a mysterious jigsaw puzzle shows up. As they piece it together, it becomes clear the puzzle is much darker than expected—it holds clues to real murders. I really liked how the author mixed the cozy Christmas vibe with a murder mystery. It sets itself apart from all the spicy romance christmas books surrounding it. The mystery itself kept me hooked. The idea of the jigsaw puzzle being part of the story was unique and kept me turning pages to see how it all fit together. The characters felt real, especially the main detective. Even though it’s a bit of a slower-paced mystery at times, the twists toward the end were great, and I didn’t guess who the killer was. If you enjoy mysteries that aren’t too scary but still make you think, The Christmas Jigsaw Murders is a good pick for a chilly evening by the fire."

Jigsaw with all the right pieces!

"This book has started my addiction to Alexandra Benedict!!! For anyone seeking a cozy Christmas mystery, Benedict has written several novel all set at Christmas and all with winding mysterious romps with clues tucked in clues. In this book, we get close to an endearing curmudgeonly (and not entirely reliable) narrator who works to solve a jigsaw of clues in time to save her beloved adopted grandson. Thanks to #NetGalley for the chance to read #TheChristmasJigsawMurders!"

A good ""puzzler""

"This was a fun read but also a good murder mystery that kept me guessing til the end!"

Get Your Biases Supported Here!

"""At A Loss For Words: Conversation in an Age of Rage"" isn't so much about being at a loss for words as it is about words being appropriated as weapons or shields for different factions. This is a good book if you are Canadian, white, Christian (preferably Catholic), and a liberal who is also a Trudeau Liberal. It supports all your biases and provides satisfying ammunition to use against whatever you consider The Other Side. It's not a good book for anyone who doesn't fit all of these categories, or for anyone who wants questions and analysis rather than pronouncements (though the chapter on ""Choice"" will fill some gaps for a reader interested in the recent history of the abortion controversy in North America)."
