"This is a book that when you start you have to see the last page. It is one of the good book from Stephen king"

Cree word for love

"This book is a beautiful gift to give as gift to family and anyone you love. The art work is beautiful and the short stories compliment. It is a book to have on display and open it anywhere and just read randomly."

"This book is an absolute gift. Tracey’s writing is so powerful, wise, and thoughtful. She’s that aunty that will quietly observe and then write an absolute masterpiece about it later on. A Hex for Colten genuinely took my breath away. That story alone deserves the highest praise. She holds that part of Colten’s story with such care and kindness, but also rightful rage and grief. George Littlechild’s illustrations complement Tracey’s writing so perfectly. I’ve loved his work since I was a child and he illustrated Richard van Camp’s books. It was so nice to visit with him again through this book. He has such a unique and stunning style that helps make this book worth its weight in gold ten times over."

"Absolute beautiful story that ignites a warmth in your heart."

“A much-needed examination of the beauty and difficulty of Cree love, about what it takes to confront a vast history that is always in the room—between family members, lovers, friends, oneself. Tracey Lindberg’s deep honesty and vibrant sentences are buoyed by the stunning paintings of George Littlechild. A collaborative effort that will nourish us for years to come.” - Billy-Ray Belcourt, award-winning author of Coexistence

“Celebrating autonomy and embracing love in many forms, this book is a bold and tender tribute to relationality’s pain and beauty. The Cree Word for Love is a storyteller’s tribute to embodied self-determination.” - John Borrows, Loveland Chair in Indigenous Law, University of Toronto, Faculty of Law

“In The Cree Word for Love, sâkihitowin in all of its forms is celebrated. Through poetry, prose, and art, Tracey and George highlight the kind of love I understand: one that is plural, queer, in the direction of the sky, and without hierarchy, binary, or constraint. This book is dressed for the Creator; colourful on the page and unforgettable off of it.” - Jessica Johns, bestselling author of Bad Cree
