#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • THE INSPIRATION FOR THE HIT MOVIE STARRING MERYL STREEP AND ANNE HATHAWAY • DON’T MISS THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2, COMING SOON TO THEATERS! “The degree to which The Devil Wears Prada has penetrated pop culture needs no explanation.”—Vanity Fair A gloriously wicked story about the ultimate Boss from Hell and the deals we make with the devil to get to the top
Andrea Sachs, a small-town girl fresh out of college, lands the job “a million girls would die for.” Hired as the assistant to Miranda Priestly, the high-profile, fabulously successful editor of Runway magazine, Andrea finds herself in an office that shouts Prada! Armani! Versace! at every turn, a world populated by impossibly thin, heart-wrenchingly stylish women and beautiful men clad in fine-ribbed turtlenecks and tight leather pants that show off their lifelong dedication to the gym. With breathtaking ease, Miranda can turn each and every one of these hip sophisticates into a scared, whimpering child.
Andrea is sorely tested each and every day—and often late into the night—with orders barked over the phone. She puts up with it all by keeping her eyes on the prize: a recommendation from Miranda that will get her a top job at any magazine of her choosing. As things escalate from the merely unacceptable to the downright outrageous, Andrea begins to realize that the job a million girls would die for may just kill her. And even if she survives, she has to decide whether or not it’s worth the price of her soul.

Reviews
Loved it!
"I suggest to read the book before the movie, but they're equally as good!"
— Incognito (5/5)
No longer available
"Have to give it a 1 star because I after j ordered it it became no longer available and I didn’t actually get the book"
— Lsonn (1/5)
Tough to get through
"What completely confounds me is how this book even became popular in the first place. Sure the title's alluring but that's pretty much it. Andy is a woman-child who constantly complains about her job and that's pretty much the entire plot right there. The movie was much better."
— Alex (2/5)
Favourite movie, not my favourite book
"I actually read this book after I watched the movie, thinking it was going to be amazing after watching the movie. I was wrong. Seems like the book just goes on and on. It is the only time I’ve ever said that I liked the movie WAY more than the book itself."
— Fred (2/5)
Not what I expected
"While I'm still looking forward to watching the movie (one of those downloaded ages ago and haven't watched because I wanted to read the book first!), I wasn't entirely taken by the book. I suppose it's because I never quite empathized with the main character and her weak moral character. Not my cup of tea, but I'm still glad I took the time to read it and judge for myself."
— Hisako (2/5)
Good Read
"I enjoyed reading the book; however, I enjoyed the movie more than the book."
— Izzy (4/5)
Quirky read!
"Fun and entertaining; was cool to read it even after watching the film!"
— Anonymous (4/5)
Must read and must see!!
"Have always loved this fun light hearted read. . . and the movie always makes me happy!!!"
— Michelle (5/5)
happy
"I really enjoyed this book. Reading for fun and everything else is gravy."
— Angela (5/5)
The movie is way better
"I first watched the film a year after it came out, even though I was far too young to be watching it, I absolutely loved it and still do. Naturally, when I got older I was excited to read the book, however, the movie is far superior. I recommend skipping the novel and just watching the movie instead,"
