Reviews
A balanced collectible edition that somewhat misses the mark
"Well, this one's binding art suffers from the problems of both The Fellowship of the Ring and Two Towers of the same edition; an abstract-ish art piece that borders off-topicness with a questionable colour scheme. Don't get me wrong, The Silmarillion and Return of the King from the same set are gorgeous books and for those alone it is worth acquiring this one to complete the set. It is also useful to have an edition on hand that strikes a good balance between readability and collectibility. Yet, the cover art makes me depressed; it doesn't fit with the joyous journey of Bilbo's adventure which is supposed to be sweet and enchanting."
