The #1 New York Times bestselling series is back with a brand new tale! Discover what happens next in this thrilling addition to the Wings of Fire saga.Umber was never supposed to be a hero...As the youngest sibling of his MudWing hatching, Umber doesn't have the responsibilities of his bigwings, Reed, nor the heroic destiny prophesied for his brother, Clay. He's always been content with his role as the cheerful, goofy, little brother. But when his sister, Sora, causes a tragedy at Jade Mountain Academy, Umber finds himself on the run and thrown into a whole new role--that of protector.Umber and Sora fly south in search of a place where they can live far away from other dragons... until a kind, hybrid dragon named Mulberry saves him from a kraken attack, and Umber realizes they don't have to survive alone after all. In fact, there's an entire community living on a forgotten island, full of dragons hiding from their own dark pasts. As the two MudWings settle into the Court of Refuge, they start to realize that nothing in this place is quite what it seems, and the protection it offers comes with a price. Even as Umber falls for Prince Mulberry, he learns he must find a way to unlock the past of this mysterious island to ensure he and Sora have a future. And when the dragons in power try to stop him, he'll have to decide what he cares about most... and whether he can be the hero these dragons need after all.

"We finally got to find out what happened to Umber and Sora. A good return to this amazing series. The characters were a little hard to keep straight, but I was a very engaging plot."

This book was very
"This book was very refreshing to read as a continuation of the Wings of Fire series! The plot is intriguing and mysterious, the characters are wonderful to read about, and both aspects feel brand new instead of coming off as recycled concepts. Even before the prophecy was revealed the book had me hooked. I wish the main romance was a bit more of a slow burn rather than a flash fire, but it's not enough to put me off. And with a cliffhanger like that I absolutely cannot wait for book 17!"
— Yakma1716 (5/5)
Missing pages.
"I bought this in February and just now reading through it. There’s a huge jump between chapters 64-177 & 114 - 213 which majorly made the reading experience more difficult. I have photos of the misprinting but I’m not sure where to submit it."
"This book was by far, one of the best of the series and i would enjoy reading it again and again. Although i liked the book, the edges of the hardcover kept getting scraped."
— B0B L. (4/5)
VERY MAD
"It printed so wrong it isn't readeable it skips 50 pages and repeats chapters wery dissapointed"
— Kenn@Poo (1/5)
The plot was better than I expected.
"I really liked the overall plot and I thought that it was really neat that there's something new to the wof universe. The cliffhanger was so awesome too. I really hope that the nest book is as good as this one."

"ASWOME I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THERE ARE MISSING PAGES FOR OTHER PEOPLE BUT I DONT. THIS IS THE BEST"
— Wof F. (5/5)
Gayness
"It's starting off to be a good book but the main character is. . . gay. Its fine to have a side character like that but the main. . . the actual lore and story is pretty good. A lot of loose ends have been tied up and my book printed perfectly fine"
— Harmony145 (1/5)
