Two thumbs down.

"I was disappointed. It was a bit cheesy and awkward."

"An impactful, uplifting book that soothes the soul. This insightful, fun story is layered with a depth of consciousness that I very much appreciate, making it a rare and delightful find."

Heather V. (5/5)

Humanity can’t survive without it!

"If only! This book is delightful, scary (for me), action filled and heartwarming. Makes one wish the interactions were possible and yet knowing that many of them already are! Matt Haig is a wonder writer with a vivid imagination and always pushing the boundaries. Put your toe in the water and read this book. You’ll wish you were there."

Mayr (5/5)

Truth and Hope

"Well written with a mixture of hopefulness and truth. Matt Haig expertly braids together themes of grief and hope while adding elements of the “paranormal”. The book explores what a more attuned world could look like while remaining true to the protagonist’s journey."

SdDan (5/5)

Passing along a good book.

"Borrowed this from the library. Loved it! Decided to buy it as a gift for someone."

Alice (4/5)

As well as Matt Haig’s personal dedication this book honors “Afterthinkers “.

"Imaginative as always. Touching, and the reader slowly grows into the intricate essence of the telling. If you enjoy Matt Haig’ s weaving of human truths in his “tall tales” , you will not be disappointed."

DAR! (4/5)

The life impossible

"This book blew my mind. The author’s ability to tap into the human psyche is incredible. I loved it!"

Lorraine G. (5/5)

An uplifting journey into a new life

"I liked this book better than The Midnight Library. It tells the story of a 70+ yr old woman who gets a second life by moving to Ibiza. Through her journey into new experiences, she is shown she can forgive herself (and forget) things in her life that were big regrets. The characters were delightful and believable. It's a hopeful and uplifting story, which is what a lot of us living in these uncertain times need. Good triumphs over evil !! Love of Nature triumphs over commercialism!! As with the Midnight Library, I enjoyed the chapter structure, which is organized by concept. So a chapter can be one paragraph or several pages."
