In the shadows of this grand design, Leviathan takes on an apprentice: Mephistopheles, a street magician turned prodigy illusionist whose hunger for transcendence soon rivals—and threatens to surpass—his master’s.
When Mephistopheles’ ambition culminates in the summoning of an ancient God preaching a “true gospel,” the delicate balance of power shatters. Leviathan’s attempt to contain the fallout ignites a chain reaction that spirals into open war.
