Oliver Capstone is a washed-up avant garde filmmaker. Following the death of his partner he feels his enthusiasm for life ebbing away. All this changes when he becomes besotted with a young shop assistant. Does this boy offer Oliver a way out of his rut? Jay is a young man supplementing his shop assistant income through life modelling and the webcam shows that he keeps a secret from his girlfriend. When Capstone offers him a considerable amount of money to appear in a film, he is torn - is this the way out of his dilemma with Rachel, or is it just more of the same?
