Lynch layers con and counter-con, twist and counter twist, two new cities and a huge cast of characters, all of it glued together by irresistible prose and fruity, insult-stuffed dialogue. Welcome back, Scott. You've been missed.—SFX

Highly Recommend

"Huge fan of Scott Lynch! The third book book in the series is as good as the first two and I look forward to see what comes next."

Biblio B. (5/5)

So stoked to find this!

"My dad and I have been looking for this for ages so when I saw it I immediately grabbed it. He loves this series and I can’t wait to start it! I hate starting a series unless I have all the books, I’m a late night reader typically and hate having to wait to start the next one if I don’t have it and am really into a series. Woo!"

Ellie (5/5)

Such Gentlemen

"Jean and Locke navigate through their next adventures with wit, humour and sophistication"

Neil (5/5)

Great series

"Great series! Loved flashbacks to first book as well"

Oprob (5/5)

Can't wait for more

"Great sequel. Disappointing that it leaves on a cliff hanger but am definitely anticipating the next book in the series!"

Jolene (5/5)

Cliffhanger

"This is a lovely third novel in this sequence, with the glorious detail of both food and surroundings we have come to expect. I really enjoyed the change of setting, but be warned: there is a big cliffhanger at the end of this book. If you do not like being kept in suspense, wait until the next volume is released."

Teekl (4/5)

A worthy sequel

"After Red Seas Under Red Skies I couldn't wait for the next chapter in the series, and Republic of Thieves didn't disappoint. I read it in record time!"

Alexandra (5/5)

Missing something. . . .

"I loved the first two books of this series. This one though. . seems a bit out of place. Don't get me wrong, I loved this book. The story was interesting and I love the way the author writes, but it seemed to fall a little flat compared to the other novels. The author finally introduced Sabetha and I just wasn't able to fall in love with her character as much as I did with Locke, Jean and the twins. I am excited to see how their adventures continue in the next book!"

Kassy (4/5)

Great read

"I don't know why people are upset. The writing is just as good, the story is amazing and the characters pop. I love this series. I would recommend it to anyone."

Zach (5/5)

Sabetha!

"I loved finally getting to meet Sabetha after such build up in the previous books, and reading about Locke and Jean's adventures in an unstable political climate. The mystery surrounding the origins of Locke's world keep getting more complex, and the plot surrounding the bondsmagi continues to baffle and delight. A sequel that may even be better than the previous books."
