It's been four years since the woodcutter made the journey into the Whispering Forest and gave his promise to the ancient being that dwells within. while he struggles to understand the conflicts that continue to burden his family, his concerns are drawn outward by the recent uprisings that threaten to plunge the kingdom into war. The Gatou tribes have united as a hostile force, refusing entry into the plains, and the Pirates of the South Seas have returned to terrorize the eastern waters. The Dryland Brigands have taken up their old ways, denying acces to the Beldens' Pass and cutting off all trade from Southport.
