"The back description does not express how cool these are. I been working on shadow work. and These cards will be wonderful with aiding with it. They stunning. I like how theres mutiple ways to use these decks. you can use together or seperate. I cant wait to use them in my practice and emotional healing journey."

An intriguing take on a double deck

"This deck caught my eye both for being a different approach and for the art style. It does use some of the traditional imagery but a lot of it is more simplified and stylized. The box includes two full decks, one Light and one Shadow. The art is similar for each card but reflects the light and shadow sides of each card. There are no reversed meanings for this deck which means if you are looking to incorporate that balance, the best option is to use cards from both decks. The book included gives a few suggestions and some spreads that would allow you to draw from each deck separately but out them together for a full reading. I like the spreads added and really think it adds a lot that you could get the same card from both decks. The cards are thick and nice quality but the edges are a bit easier to damage than some decks. They are very slippery and stiff, so with smaller habds shuffling is a bit more challenging. Trying to shuffle both decks in anything other than a wash would require very large hands or doing it in chunks. With the slippery feel, shuffling gets a bit trickier regardless, but it does keep them from sticking. The art is fascinating and even with a fairly minimalist style there are tons of details to catch as you look closer and there even seem to be some hints towards various mythologies and fandoms. There are also some hints at different cultures eithout feeling overly appropriative, and the people represented are quite varied. Althiugh it is gendered, because of how stylized it is it does feel a bit less overly stereotyped and traditional which is nice. The packaging is decent although the slots for each deck are not quite deep enough to hold all cards so once open the top chunk of cards from each deck can shift around. It is also a challenge to get the decks out sometimes as there are no ribbons to assist and tipping the box upside down will easily get you both decks spilled out. Overall, i love it and am enjoying using it as a tool to intentionally approach multiple sides of an issue at the same time."

Nice set

"I haven’t used this deck as much as my others, but I find it really cool that there’s 2; one for light and one for shadow side of things. They are a lot thicker than the other decks I have so shuffling and using them has proven a bit difficult for me because there’s so much there to hold. But they’re definitely good quality. Beautifully done as well!"

"The Tarot of Light and Shadow is an exciting system and could revolutionize the way readers use the cards. The decks also allow for a deeper reach into the levels of the users’ consciousness which could result in more accurate and insightful readings. I’m looking forward to working with it more and see where it takes my tarot journey." - New Spirit Journal
