Randall Wright, MD is first and foremost a family man, committed to his wife and two children and the larger community that revolves around his neighborhood, church, and hospital clinic. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Xavier University of Louisiana, a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, a medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, an internship at Louisiana State University, a residency at Baylor College of Medicine and a fellowship at their Department of Neurology. Dr. Wright currently serves as the Medical Director of two centers in Houston, the Conroe Regional Neurovascular Stroke Center and the Stroke Care Unit at Health South Rehabilitation Hospital in the Woodlands, Texas. He also serves as partner of the Multispecialty medical group, the Sadler Clinic. Dr. Wright has won the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) Frist Humanitarian award for 2011 at Conroe Hospital for his volunteer efforts in his community in regard to spreading the life saving message of healthy lifestyle change, and for bringing state of the art stroke care to a community hospital. Dr. Wright has established himself on the national stage through his continued work with the American Heart Association, first being named to their State Advocacy Committee in 2006, followed by his representing Texas at the national kick off of Power to End Stroke Campaign. Dr. Wright was named a AHA Legacy Award winner in 2008. Through the AHA, he partnered with Gospel recording artist Kirk Franklin in 2009 to present the message the city of Houston. He appeared on the Local television talk show Great Day Houston and spoke about the signs and symptoms of stroke. That same year, Dr. Wright was recognized nationally by the American Heart Association as an outstanding member of the South central affiliate. In April 2010, Dr Wright was once again featured on the Great Day Houston show to continue spreading the message of stroke prevention. In 2011, he was asked to serve as Chairman of the Stroke Committee for the American Heart Association South Western affiliate. In this role, Dr. Wright leads the fight against stroke across 6 states, buy setting the AHA priorities in regards to stroke care for hospital, stroke legislation, and developing protocols for the stroke chain of survival in those states. Dr. Wright enjoys golf, jogging with his family, and says, "I live my life according to Philippians 4:13.
